The Name Bala Marke has become a domestic name to the people of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State over the years as he steadily climbs the ladder of political relevance while having his people support.

Who is Honorable Bala Fwangje (Bala Marke)?

Having defeated  his influential and wealthy opponent from the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the last concluded general elections and sworn in as member of the Plateau State house of Assembly, one would wonder what kind of man can do such considering that his opponent is of the incumbent government.


Honorable Bala Fwangje obtained his degree in Law from the university of Jos in the year 1999.

He delve into the business world were he got the alias "Bala Marke" as his dominant name.

Towards the rounding up of the government of Jonah David Jang as the Governor of Plateau State in 2014, He contested for Councilorhip and was given an overwhelming support by his people.

His victory was shot lived as a new government headed by Bar. Simon Bako Lalong dissolved the local government council thereby cutting short his mandate.

In 2018, it became obvious that he would be given the mandate by the People Democratic Party (PDP) to contest against the  candidate of the ruling party when he indicated interest for State House of Assembly Membership.

By 2019, his acceptance by his people against one that is seen as wealthy and influential saw him become House of Assembly Elect and later sworn in on the 29th of May 2019 as Member, Plateau State House of Assembly.

He has become a Bright star from the Local government who is believed and expected to produce the Next governor of the State.

A lot is on his shoulder to monitor his performance so as to win his people trust and gain the support of the general public in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
