Nigeria as a multi-lingual and multi-ethnic group has grown to a height of possible break-up as marginalization of minor ethnic groups has persisted in it political architecture.

How do I mean? That is an obvious question anyone would ask.

Nigeria has been kept together as one sovereign entity as a result of the Amalgamation by the British colonialist in 1914 who brought the diverse nations together under one umbrella to mark their territory and keep the french from encroaching and taking over their "Mine field".

The Amalgamation saw little or no resistance as the Amalgamated nations were already conquered by the colonialist.

The Amalgamation resulted to division of then new formed Nation into regions for easy administration. These regions were managed by people with different ideology.

The Management of the Southern region taught his people to survive through farming and creative art while the management in the Mid-western region gave education and farming to his people and the management in the Northern region taught his people to survive by farming.

The North having a vast area of land needed more hand in their farms, hence the need to procreate. This brought about polygamy so as to increase the man-power needed for their farming activities.

Years gone by brought Nigeria to it current status as an independent Nation then arose the politics of Nigeria.

The Mid-west and the South had advanced in Education while the North were busy procreating for their large land mass.

The level of illiteracy in the North brought about Quota system to ensure that they were not left out in the management of the Nations resources. This quota system shared available slots for vacancies, Education and all other facilities provided by the government on an quota. The government managed the resources of the Nation then. The quota system was enforced by the military administrators who were mostly from the North to protect their people.

In 1999, Nigeria had it first elected president giving birth to Democracy, The Government of the People, by the People and for the People. This is the government of Numbers.

This system of government exposed the true nature of the Northern region of Nigeria as they dominate in all elective positions because of their number.

The North has forgotten about quota system that they enjoyed when the system of government was supposed to reward merits by qualifications which was lacking in their region.

It is fun to dominate. they have forgotten the grievances of the other regions that accommodated them in the time past. every of their cry and complains were turned to mockery.

Now the South is begging for crumbs from the people they for sometimes have taken care of.They foresaw this happening and agitated for independence but it was turned to civil war leading to loss of life and property.

Now they are still begging for crumbs from their once beneficial partner to give themselves hope of a one Nigeria but it seem not to be coming forth.

The people has seen it all and have chosen to survive on their own that they do not  bother about the government in their own region and turning out very poorly to the polls on election seasons.

seeking for freedom has become a crime as any such group or persons that rises up with such idea are mated with high level of high handedness to curtail it from spreading to other members of the community and gaining acceptance.

What then is the way forward? It is difficult to predict. But one thing is certain. The South and the West are weary of the North.
